Baptism Question

I know I only have two followers, but I can see from my stats that more people check in. So I have a question. What is your take on infant baptism over youth/adult baptism? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you for today. Help my have a good night sleep. In Jesus Name, I love Jesus.

In Jesus Name,

Sometimes the simplicity and the unconditional love of a child, reminds you that faith doesn't need to be complicated.

I say Amen to my 4 year olds prayer. Simple, Sincere and True.

THANK GOD FOR KIDS

I don't have much to blog about today. I am so incredibly tired, but the day could have been terrible and I am thankful that when we got in the car my kids had to listen to the oh oh oh oh song.  It's my theme song today. It's not a gospel track, but a great song none the less!

WALKING AS JESUS DID

As those of you that have popped in know, I have been really trying to focus on God's love for me and the need for me not to judge myself or others. I understand that accountability in my walk with God is important, but in my opinion with judgement comes guilt - a useless emotion. I follow http://loveinthetruth.blogspot.com/ and came across a video about walking as Jesus did.
1st John 2:6. Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
The video posted below really makes you think. I love the Lord, but find I quite often don't turn the other cheek, quite often loose my patience and quite often don't model Jesus in my life. Joyce Meyer always says that "I am not where I need to be, but thank God I am not where I was."
The thing here is that I want my children to know God, to understand his love. When my kids aren't listening, fighting with each other, talking back or doddling. Do I model God's love? Am I an example of the peace that passes all understanding? Not always. I want my children to know God, to love God and to rely on him better than I have in the past. To do that, I must model Jesus. So for today, I know God loves me and that is amazing, I know that I haven't been perfect in my walk with him but that he is a forgiving God, but I also know that I have a responsibility to teach my children in the way they should grow. For those of you that take prayer requests, pray that I am able to hear God's gentle voice reminding me to show my children his love even in difficult circumstances. If any of you have a prayer request, post it below and I will pray for you. God Bless.

A love letter from God

I like to call it a Godincident when certain things happen. Like stumbling across the video below. I have been thinking a lot about God's love and my need to stay amazed as you saw in my first post. I've also been thinking about judgement and the video below deals with that as well, quoting a verse that says God doesn't count our sins. Any preview I write won't do this video justice. It's nine minutes but really worth a watch. So without further comment I give you God's love letter...

MY FIRST BLOG

As I thought about what I would blog,  I kept thinking about judgement and God’s love.
Most Christians know God loves them, but do we really understand? The God of the Universe, the Alpha, Omega loves us.  That should always have a wow factor. I believe that one of the biggest problems in today’s world is that people don’t stay amazed by God.
We are all sinners and yet God loves us just the way we are.
If God is okay with us, then we should be okay with ourselves.  A simple concept yes, but yet judgement is all around us, we judge each other and we judge ourselves. There is nothing wrong with have expectations of yourself, but the guilt associated with self-judgement or the judgement of others is a useless emotion that is unnecessary in a Christian life.   Once you ask forgiveness, it’s done. Receive it and move on.
Mark Driscoll’s facebook status today was “God himself...does not propose to judge a man until his life is over. Why should you and I?” - Samuel Johnson.
As we grow in our walk with God, I believe it’s important never to loose sight of how amazing it is that he loves us as we are. Say it out loud GOD LOVES ME!  As my blogger name is gospel chick, I leave you with one of my favorite hymns done gospel style, sung by my favorite local gospel group The Springvale Boys. Enjoy.
